Credits are consumed based on the features you use - base background removal starts at 0.25 credits for small images up to 5 credits for high-resolution. You only pay for the features you actually use.

Output variants allow you to generate multiple versions of the same processed image in a single API call. For example, you can create a full-size PNG with transparent background, a cropped JPG with white background, and a thumbnail WebP - all at once. The first variant is included in the base cost, and each additional variant costs +0.25 credits.
